Craneglas? and Cranemat? Nonwovens
Offered in Cut Sheets, Ready for Final Use


At Techtextil North America in Atlanta, Georgia, March 30-April 1, 2004, Crane Nonwovens/Technical Materials is pleased to announce a new capability to provide our Craneglas and Cranemat materials in sheet form.  The company has installed new sheeting equipment that affords a cost-effective option for customers.  Further, flat sheets may offer processing benefits, ensure flatness and more.  Sheets can be provided to customers in pallet form for ease of handling and ready for final assembly. 

Sheet lengths from 24? to 84? are available and widths from 12? to 60?.  Crane?s nonwovens are offered in basis weights ranging from 17.5 gsm (~0.5 osy) to 850 gsm (~25.0 osy).  Base materials in sheet form have densities typically in the range of 0.10 g/cc to 0.20 g/cc, and they are highly conformable and easily saturated.  As always, Crane will work with customers to prepare a product meeting their exact needs.

Crane is a longstanding supplier of Craneglas fiberglass nonwovens, used in a wide range of thermal insulation, laminate and surfacing veil applications, and Cranemat, a versatile line of polymeric wet-laid nonwovens incorporating  polyester, PPS, polyolefins, nylon, PVC, fluoropolymers and more.
